Job Description

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Key account planning, development and management
  • Act as main link resource to client
  • Develop and maintain close relationship and communication with decision makers of client / CRM
  • Advise senior management of client status, problems and opportunities
  • Quality control of all deliverables to client
  • Develop, implement, coordinate, and manage research services projects
  • Develop proposal and prepare budget/cost
  • Questionnaire, interview/discussion guide design
  • Analyze and evaluate results
  • Develop conclusion and solid recommendation
  • Present and report on work from proposal to analysis stage
  • Control costs/budgeting
  • Ensure company processes and compliance are followed
  • Responsible for morale, productivity, and efficiency of team
  • Any other tasks assigned by Commercial Director


  • Strong tobacco and retail industry knowledge
  • Prefer having both quantitative and qualitative research experiences. For quantitative, experience in running brand health tracking is an advantage
  • Prefer having multi-country research experience
  • Competent in market research tools (questionnaire design, sampling, etc.)
  • Competent in statistical analysis (basic and multi-variate)
  • Proficiency in using statistical software like SPSS, SAS, etc.
  • Good organiser with the ability to prioritise and multi-task
  • Sound analytical skills and the ability to interpret research data accurately
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to maintain a positive, motivational, “get things done” attitude, especially when faced with difficult circumstances
  • Excellent sales/negotiation skills and a hunger to develop new business
  • Good relationship building skills (internal, external, and cross-cultural)
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills for internal and external client; Problem solving skills
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint

Specific Qualifications

  • At least 8 years’ experience in a market research role
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education in any discipline
