As a Principal Software Engineer you will have following key accountabilities:
Line management for technical team leads and senior engineers on site in Sofia
Involvement in all local decisions on employee lifecycle management
Ensuring a close connection with the global development teams of Media Measurement and the technical leadership group
Ensuring the continuation of the application of best practices in software development lifecycle for local teams
Growth and personal development of your direct reports and their respective team members
Consultancy of development teams on questions of software architecture or development best practices
Report to the Head of Engineering for Media Measurement
Now that you know what a Principal Software Engineer does, what skills, qualifications and experience do you need?
A track record of successfully ramping up teams consisting of highly motivated and capable individuals
7+ years of experience in building end-to-end data solutions
Worked with distributed, data heavy applications running in the public cloud
Worked with on premise Hadoop clusters and you know how to get rid of them
Fluent experience in either Java, Scala, Python, C# and you are willing to learn the others
Built CI/CD pipelines, because you know they make the difference
An open and collaborative mindset both within and outside your team
Strong interest in helping other engineers become even better
