Job Description

  • Evangelise design thinking and design across the product org and beyond  act as an advocate for client-centred design. 

  • Raise profile of design team and strategic value of work through communication, presentations of outputs and engagement in org activity. 

  • Support the shaping of product roadmaps, within area of responsibility, to ensure they meet customer needs and move product metrics. 

  • Line management of a small team of designers – ensuring high quality outputs and continuous personal and professional development 

  • Oversee product design, within area of responsibility, from research to design to engineering hand over 

  • Demonstrate, and ensure team demonstrates, design solutions that maximise client engagement and outcomes 

  • Track and deliver progress reports at key org meetings, spotting and highlighting issues or blockers (that cannot be independently resolved) in a timely manner 

  • Manage stakeholders across design, product, data science and engineering ensuring design has a strong representation in key product decisions 

  • Coordinate with other Principals to manage cross over, reduce duplication and improve outputs across teams 

  • Support development of, and feed into, a rigorous and effective UX framework
