Evangelise design thinking and design across the product org and beyond – act as an advocate for client-centred design.
Raise profile of design team and strategic value of work through communication, presentations of outputs and engagement in org activity.
Support the shaping of product roadmaps, within area of responsibility, to ensure they meet customer needs and move product metrics.
Line management of a small team of designers – ensuring high quality outputs and continuous personal and professional development
Oversee product design, within area of responsibility, from research to design to engineering hand over
Demonstrate, and ensure team demonstrates, design solutions that maximise client engagement and outcomes
Track and deliver progress reports at key org meetings, spotting and highlighting issues or blockers (that cannot be independently resolved) in a timely manner
Manage stakeholders across design, product, data science and engineering ensuring design has a strong representation in key product decisions
Coordinate with other Principals to manage cross over, reduce duplication and improve outputs across teams
Support development of, and feed into, a rigorous and effective UX framework
