Job Description
GfK is driving a creative, motivated and focused sales culture through its global restructure. The purpose is simple – achievement of sustained growth over the next 1-5 years.
The Account Manager role is a high-profile target carrying position within the successful and growing National Sales team. The role will involve selling the complete suite of GfK products & services to both current customers & new prospects across a variety of industries.
The National Sales team are focussed on outbound activity but are also responsible for qualifying and developing all inbound enquiries. This is a “get-the-job-done” team. You will be focussed and determined whilst representing GfK’s brand and ideals across the client & prospect base. You will have the ability to cut through the noise and identify, nurture, develop and close sales opportunities.
Good communication skills and the ability to demonstrate skilled client engagement are essential. You will possess good negotiation skills and have the tenacity associated with being a sales professional.
Key Activities
Identify cross-sell & upsell opportunities within your customer portfolio
Proactively target prospects & manage inbound leads developing new business opportunities
Work with the Head of National Sales to create and execute your sales plan
Attend off site meetings with clients/ prospects to develop relationships & win new business
Collaborate with the Client Solutions (product) teams to establish and deliver excellent client alignment as well as spot revenue generating opportunities
Work with the Client Success Director to ensure strong revenue retention and maximum lead generation within existing clients
Create and maintain sales account planning as required
Manage & maintain your sales pipeline in conjunction with team processes
Timely & accurate forecasting
Use the CRM system as a tool to drive best practice activity and behaviour
Skills & Experience required
A self starter with a passion for sales via a client centric approach
Ability to identify, create, nurture & close new business opportunities
Be value focused rather than price / product focused
Ability to build meaningful client relationships, internally & externally
Proactive problem solver who can use & act on their own initiative
Enthusiasm to learn and develop; brings innovative ideas
Skilled understanding of how to open dialogue with questions that allow you to discover needs
High energy and driven to succeed
Salesforce experience desired, but not essential
Location:
This is a hybrid role, based in our London office twice a week (Mon/Thurs) and working from home the remainder of the week.
