Map of the Month: Retail turnover growth rate, Europe 2021

GfK’s Map of the Month for June shows the retail turnover growth rate in 31 European countries in 2021.

The highest growth rates were recorded in smaller Eastern European countries such as Lithuania (up 17 percent), Slovenia (up 16 percent) or Estonia (up 13 percent), but larger markets such as France, Spain and Italy also had retail growth rates of more than 7 percent. In the 27 EU states, retail turnover grew by an average of 6.8 percent in 2021.
