Map of the Month: Retail share of private consumption, Europe 2017

According to GfK's recent retail study, European consumers spent 30.5% of their available funds for private consumption on brick-and-mortar retail in 2017. This reflects a continuing downward trend, with stationary retail losing ground to online retail as well as recreation and service-related purchases.

GfK's Map of the Month for June illustrates the country-by-country breakdown of the 2017 retail share of private consumption.
