Map of the Month: GfK Purchasing Power, Europe 2022

GfK’s Map of the Month for November shows the regional distribution of purchasing power in Europe in 2022.

The average per capita purchasing power in Europe this year is €16,344. However, there are significant differences between the 42 countries: Liechtenstein is in first place with a spending potential of €66,204, while the Ukrainians are in last place with only €1,540. The country closest to the European average is Spain: There, people have an average of €15,314 available for spending and saving.

GfK Purchasing Power 2022 is available for 42 European countries at detailed regional levels such as municipalities and postcodes, along with seamlessly fitting data on inhabitants and households as well as digital maps.
