GfK's Portnoy to share latest tire retail trends at NETSA, TAG

With the complexity of the US tire marketplace growing every year, manufacturers and retailers alike need trusted data to make the right decisions for their businesses. With its US point-of-sale (POS) tire panel, GfK has delivered a rich, new source of insights for the tire marketplace, helping players understand promotion trends, competitor pricing, and sales nationwide.

Neil Portnoy, Managing Director of GfK's POS Tracking (Tires) team, will be presenting new findings from the panel data at two key industry events. On March 30th, he will speak at the Annual Trade Show & Convention of the New England Tire and Service Association (NETSA), being held in Mashantucket, Connecticut. In a 45-minute presentation, Portnoy will help retailers understand "Are Your Shop's Tire Sales Beating the Channel?"

The session will highlight industry trends from 2016 through 2018 and discuss how tire dealers can use data to support their decision making.  Portnoy will report how changes in the tire business are impacting sales, prices, and specific attributes (e.g. rim diameter, winter tires).

A few days later, Portnoy will appear at the Spring Meeting of the Tire Alliance Groupe (TAG), taking place April 2nd to 3rd in Miami Beach, FL. In a featured presentation on April 3rd, Portnoy will use GfK's tire data to provide new perspectives on trends in sales, product innovation, and more.
