Job Description

As SRE you will be part of our Media Measurement team. The team uses state-of-the-art technologies and rigorous methods to track who is watching what, where, and how they engage with content. Our clients can evaluate who is consuming which content across different media, platforms, and devices, and know what the audience thinks about that content. As people consume media content on more channels, and through more devices, than ever before, we are proud to provide a full view on media consumption.

About you

  • You are a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineer with a passion for hybrid infrastructures and automation.
  • You’re a self-starter and you love keeping up to date with the latest developments in cloud and configuration management technologies.
  • You understand the benefits of an immutable infrastructure and you enjoy enabling self-service deployments through continuous delivery pipelines.
  • You understand how to work in a team and an agile environment.
  • However, you have a head for operations and you know that security, backups, scalability, and resilience are a paramount concern.
  • You have a keen interest in security and you’re always looking for ways to use infrastructure-as-code to achieve security and compliance at scale.
  • You understand that costs are a concern for the modern infrastructure engineer and you’re always looking for ways to reduce them.
  • You thrive in a collaborative DevOps culture and you love to work as part of a cross-functional agile product delivery team alongside developers, data scientists, product owners, and technical architects.

You will be...

  • part of our Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team and work together with our software engineering team to build and operate the infrastructure to measure audiences (TV, Radio, Digital) across different countries
  • influencing architectural decisions with a focus on security, scalability, cost, high performance, and future development of the technology stack.
  • setting up and maintaining monitoring, metrics, and reporting systems for fine-grained observability
  • setting up actionable alerting
  • maintaining infrastructure and databases
  • follow up on alerts and investigate actively issues/performance metrics
  • creating and maintaining appropriate backups, restore, and redundancy solutions for business-critical data
  • taking care of sustainability and communication of your solutions

You have…

  • solid knowledge of administrating Windows Servers
  • knowledge of the Linux platform
  • deep understanding of networking and TCP/IP
  • strong experience with AWS, VMware, and Terraform
  • solid knowledge of technical architecture and modern design patterns
  • knowledge of a scripting language such as Powershell, Bash,  ...
  • knowledge and working experience with MongoDB, MS SQL Server, and RDS services
  • set up and supported CI/CD pipelines and tools such as GitLab or Bamboo
  • good experience in monitoring, log aggregation, and alerting tools (Datadog, Opsgenie)
  • experience with workflow management/processes like Airflow
  • some experience with container technologies especially AWS ECS / Fargate
  • experience working in production environments
