Job Description

The Research Director should have in-depth experience leading global and local adhoc consumer insight research programs (such as segmentation, market landscape and shopper). Experience running global/local brand studies with a clear understanding and POV of how brands grow would also be ideal.

Alongside this there is an expectation you will help support & drive new business, working with the commercial teams to create proposals to respond to and win (large-scale) new business opportunities, both among existing and new clients.

With a track record in leading teams to success, delivering both brand and consumer insights to clients, throughout the entire research process, the Research Director role will appeal to an Senior Associate Director or Research Director.

You have:

Experience with designing, managing and delivering large-scale adhoc consumer insight programs (e.g. market landscapes, shopper, segmentation)

A portfolio of research experience is ideal across brand research programs

POV on how to translate insight into strategic and meaningful action in today's world

Commercially minded – shows an understanding of how the research will be used by the client to meet business goals

Business development skills, including understanding/translating client needs, designing approaches and proposal writing. Identify growth opportunities by collaborating with commercial teams across the business.

Important to the role is the ability to connect data assets to provide clients with a holistic solution to answer their business needs (POS, Digital and Traditional Research)

Thought leadership – Evidence of a clear POV to support/generate thought leadership and content creation. Experience presenting at events, conferences or via webinars would be ideal

You’re good at:

An ability to present to a range of client audiences

Must enjoy and have a passion for finding the real story and themes that are worthy of further investigation (working in collaboration and guiding project team members)

Proposal writing and pitching skills

Interest in working across multiple sectors such as Telco, Tech and Durables, FMCG, Retail

Being a team player and positive role model is important - coaching and supporting to develop the team's skills further promoting a culture of development

Confidence – being able to put forward a point of view or debate a point and provide proof or evidence to support that view
