The Market Intelligence Customer Success team at GfK acts as a strategic partner to our clients, driving change for faster reaction to changing market requirement. Our team consists of experts in several industries, like Consumer Electronics, Domestic Appliances, IT, Telecom…

Our MI Customer Success team in Belgium is looking for a proactive and motivated Market Intelligence Consultant, who will be working primarily with our clients in the Major Domestic Appliances sector.

You will benefit from working in a close-knit team environment and will have the opportunity to build strong relationships with clients and wider teams. You will be based at our office in Leuven and will have the opportunity to work remotely up to 3 days per week.

As Market Intelligence Consultant, you will have the following key accountabilities: 

  • Become the trusted market expert in one or more categories / industry segments.
  • Develop fact-based answers to complex client key business questions.
  • Create and deliver compelling market presentations, providing insights and recommendations that help clients to grow their business.
  • Driving adoption and usage (i.e. activation, reactivation and engagement) of our gfknewron platform within the client organization, by demonstrating clear ROI to clients.
  • Collaborate with internal client service teams to ensure client reports are delivered and requests are solved in a timely manner.
  • Identify leads for cross-sell and upsell opportunities with the assigned client and product portfolio.

Now that we've introduced you to the position of Market Intelligence Consultant, what skills, qualifications and experience should you have?

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in the field of economics, marketing, or equivalent experience.
  • Business understanding of durable consumer goods markets and related retail.
  • Interest in major domestic appliances and market trends.
  • Ideally 3-4 years of experience in consulting, market research, product management of durables or equivalent business units.
  • Proficiency in Dutch and English. Fluency in French would be a plus.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, client-centric approach.
  • You have robust analytical skills and high-quality standards.
  • You can think strategically, drive for results and build productive relationships.
  • Eagerness to learn, open mindset, team spirit, and an entrepreneurial attitude.
