Job Description

Key Tasks & Responsibilities


1. Provide timely and accurate feedback to the Data-In Team Manager and Operations Manager on the major performance areas of Data-In. This includes Retailers Data Issue, Change of Format, New Format, Missing Data, retailer complaints, system, operational issues, data, panels, and other day-to-day issues

2. Continuous enhance knowledge in the retail world POS system to add value to existing job function

3. Provide timely and reliable updates to the Operation Manager and other colleagues for possible market development changes including: new products or new product categories, channels,

retailer profiles, brand, SKU/Items activities, trends and other relevant information.

4. Ensure full knowledge of GfK retail audit methodologies and definitions, fully understand and apply the data control procedures, techniques, as documented by the GfK Panel Quality Standard ensure consistent data input and output.

5. Fully responsible for all assigned tasks delegated by the Operation Manager from time to time (including POS Tracking, ad-hoc studies, trade survey studies, Universe checks, New Business Initiative and etc..)

6. Successfully support and execute New PGs launch. Able to Supervise, roll out QC and Cost Control on Operation Project related to Data-In

Control and Planning

1. Fully responsible for product data quality, accurate data entry and coding.

2. Ensure full knowledge of the Company’s quality standards are achieved for sample targets, sample stability, retailers’ satisfaction, data entry deadlines, data control procedures and

feature quality.

3. Responsible for ensuring optional data quality by conducting regular quality check and analysis

4. Responsible for highlighting data-in errors to the Team Manager and Operation Manager to enable corrections to be made to maintain a high level of data accuracy.

5. Responsible for resolving, checking any quality issues raised by internal and external clients.

Retailer Servicing

1. Establish, develop, and maintain positive working relationships with retailer contacts (Data Provider-Only Applicable) at all levels and all times.

2. Ensure the appropriate level of service and support is provided to maximize retailer retention and data quality

3. Continually innovate, develop, and enhance the services that retailers receive, both short and long term.

Market Knowledge

1. Maintain up to date market knowledge on all product categories audited by undertaking regular market visits, at least once a month, to keep abreast of the current and future market offerings, and regularly performing model comparisons to build a high level of product knowledge related to Data-In Industry POS systems.

2. Keep up to date on changes in GfK tracked PGs by regular market observation checks, desk research etc.

Experiences/Skills/ Competencies required:


1. Ability to grasp and quickly understand markets, methodologies, techniques and big data.

2. Experience Retail Industry, Merchandising and POS system will be added advantage

3. Sound analytical skills and the ability to interpret research data accurately.

4. Ability to maintain a positive, motivational, “get things done” attitude, especially when faced with difficult circumstances.

5. Able to work independently with the ability to priorities and multitask.

6. Good relationship building skills (internal, external, and cross-cultural).

7. Sound computer skills, especially in the areas of Excel, Access and API will have added advantage

Specific Qualifications

1. Degree level, preferably in any business field, sound computer skills especially in the areas of MS Excel

2. Those working in Data-In and have experience in managing big data

3. Fresh Graduates will also be considered
