Rio Welcomes the World and Facebook welcomes GfK commissioned study


Since the Olympics are a momentous event for people around the world, so is for marketers, Facebook commissioned a GfK study early this year to explore the topics about global sports, Olympics fans and how technology affects such sports events.

The study, lead by GfK Brazil, was based on GXL passive and media measurement in 4 key markets, next to GfK Consumer Life report and quantitative market context from 17 countries.

The study stresses the importance of mobile devices, as a device sports and Olympics fans interact most with, regardless of whether they are at home, work or out and about.
