We start the year 2016 with another new record for online shopping: the Belgian consumer spends 2.3 billion euro online during the first quarter of 2016. This is an increase of 9 percent compared to the same period last year. We see especially a strong growth in the number of online purchases in the categories Toys, Consumer Electronics and Media & Entertainment compared to the first quarter of 2015.
