Job Description

Media Measurement

Our Media Measurement team uses state-of-the-art technologies and rigorous methods to track who is watching what, where, and how they engage with content. Our clients can evaluate who is consuming which content across different media, platforms, and devices, and know what the audience thinks about that content. As people consume media content on more channels, and through more devices, than ever before, we are proud to provide a full view on media consumption.

As a Data Engineer, you will have the following key responsibilities: 

  • Design, construct, install, and maintain data management systems.
  • Ensure that all systems meet the business/client requirements as well as industry best practices.
  • Create custom software components and analytics applications.
  • Collaborate with members of your team on the project’s goals.
  • Take ownership of technical implementations and architecture together with your team and in alignment with our communities of practices.
  • Communicate with data producers to align on data exchange formats and define data interfaces.
  • Communicate with data consumers and stakeholders to help them fulfill their needs to drive the business.
  • Develop, install/update disaster recovery procedures.
  • Research new use cases for the existing data.
  • Recommend different ways to constantly improve data reliability and quality.


Now that we've introduced you to the position of Data Engineer, what skills, qualifications, and experiences should you have?

  • You have 3+ years hands-on experience with at least one of these programming languages: Scala, and Java or Python.

  • You have experience working with at least one public cloud provider (AWS).

  • You have experience with good engineering practices.

  • You are following best practices in software engineering, like pair programming, testing, clean code, and agile software development frameworks.

  • You have experience working with data pipelines and surrounding infrastructure.

  • You bring curiosity to find new and unusual ways of handling data management issues.

  • You can design data-crunching pipelines for large data volumes.

  • You have a good overview of the distributed processing.

  • Having used Airflow and Terraform is a plus.

  • You are able to give and take open and constructive feedback.

  • You have a Bachelor’s (ideally Master's) degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent.
