Job Description

The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and driving revenue growth within our Hungarian business. The Business Development Manager collaborates closely with our local leadership team to develop and execute sales strategies that align with CPS Hungary’s goals and objectives. Reporting to our Commercial Director, also based in Budapest, the Business Development Manager uses their strong background in sales and comprehensive understanding of the market research industry and FMCG sector to identify client value and drive new revenue streams with both existing & new accounts.

You Will:

  • Be sharp on sales - Identify new business opportunities – including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, products and services; Develop and nurture new pipeline opportunities through various sales and marketing activities; Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales
  • Think strategically – seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives in order to develop and improve our business; Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators
  • Demonstrate - understanding of market conditions, client needs and how GfK CP services best meet those needs; propose appropriate solutions and secure new clients
  • Create Value - Continuously provide analytical solutions and business insights to address any business gaps and/or opportunities and create value for the client

You Have:

  • Tenacity and proactivity to seek new business
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Excellent problem solver, critical thinking, initiative and good decision-making skills
  • Good negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Solid business and finance understanding with an analytical acumen
  • A Bachelor’s degree with min. 3-5 years of experience in sales and/or marketing fields
  • Intermediate English language knowledge is essential
  • FMCG market knowledge and data visualization expertise is an advantage
