What you’ll do with us (job description)

  • Develop and execute against a territory plan that leads to the creation and maintenance of a robust sales pipeline for growth of new and existing customers
  • Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with A/B accounts in the Territory (initially Colombia, Ecuador, Central America), supported by Local Account Managers
  • Directly manage all commercial activities of 3-4 Strategic Accounts for Latin America business
  • Up and cross selling solutions mostly for Sales, Trade Marketing and Marketing personas, although some solutions might need the involvement of Finance and Supply Chain
  • Working closely with Solutions team, to generate appealing proposals, in content, shape, value and suitability to Client needs
  • Preparing and conducting sales pitches and closing relevant deals with A/B Accounts in the Territory
  • Implementing sales campaigns with speed and decisiveness, adapting the benefits to each Strategic Account, according to their specific needs
  • Being able to guide Account Managers sitting in different countries, to rigorously develop the Go to Market strategy
  • Being the ultimate responsible for the P&L in assigned Territories
  • Actively acting as the main spokesperson for GfK in the Territory, when presenting in Trade Events or dealing with Associations and Press
  • Joining key presentations & workshops, adding expertise during project/contract delivery

What we need from you (skills and behavior)

  • Around 15 years of business experience, being either in Commercial related fields (Marketing, Trade Marketing, Sales) from Technology and Durables manufacturers or retailers, or in Market Intelligence/Analytics areas (ideally from a leading Information Agency or Consultancy)
  • If coming from a Commercial background, is expected to have deep familiarity with services related to information for business decisions (GfK, Nielsen, Kantar, Transactional Data from Retailers), with a quantitative mind
  • If coming from a Market Information/Analytics background, is desirable to have experience actively selling information for Manufacturers or Retailers
  • Experience in synthesizing market related information and transforming it into insights and recommendations, wrapped in a compelling story for decision makers
  • Great social poise and persuasive communication skills, to be able to effectively consult and sell to different personas inside a Client/Retailer
  • Client service mindset, thriving to see Clients succeeding in the marketplace
  • Strong collaborative spirit and behavior. Interfaces well with others and in a team setting. Works toward team goals and participates actively and supportively in team decisions.
  • Highly organized and focused, to able to drive the commercial agenda, while keeping the team aligned behind Sales targets
  • You can and should have leadership skills, but you must feel comfortable in rolling up your sleeves to make things happen (we’re frugal!)
  • We sell Trust as our main attribute, so you put ethics beyond Sales and you’re know for “walking the talk”.

What we believe you should bring along (education, training)

  • As we’re part of a knowledge-based business, we expect that our leaders are lifelong learners, being always update either in a formal (Universities, Trainings) way or with frequent exposure to top notch information sources
  • We assume you’re well-versed in MS office applications (especially PowerPoint & Excel), that you are an expert in gathering information from BI’s and ERP’s, and that you have a great working experience with CRM’s (eg Salesforce). All said, Technology is your best friend!
  • A perfect command of English is required, for interaction with Global Client leaders inside GfK. A working knowledge of Portuguese is a plus.
