Map of the Month: GfK Purchasing Power, Europe 2018

GfK's Map of the Month for November shows the distribution of purchasing power across Europe in 2018.

According to GfK's latest purchasing power study, Europeans have an average of €14,292 per person available for spending and saving in 2018. But this per capita purchasing power varies dramatically among the 42 studied countries. First-ranked Liechtenstein is far ahead of the field with €65,438, followed by Switzerland with €40,456 and Iceland at €32,958. At the other end of the spectrum are Moldova and the Ukraine, with just €1,843 and €1,318 respectively. Purchasing power insights help retailers and manufacturers identify the most lucrative regions for selling and promoting their products.
