Promotions are particularly popular with young consumers


Consumers of all ages love a promotion, but they're really popular among the 18-25 year old consumers.

Which promotions appeal most to which age group?

Information presented at the shelf hold most sway over consumers' shopping decisions - irrespectively of their age. But it's the young ones who consider this factor particularly important: 47% of the 18-25 year olds state that information at shelf influences their shopping decisions strongly. 38% of the 51-69 year old shoppers state the same. Also, product samples and demos are considered more important by the younger age group than the older one (45% vs. 32%). And coupons have less influence on young consumers' shopping decisions than you'd think...
