Job Description

A Research Director is responsible for program management, creating engaging deliverables tailored to the client, building client relationships, and consulting with clients on key business issues focusing on advertising effectiveness. This individual should have a passion for advertising and the automotive industry, insight generation, and a strong client service orientation.  Presentation Skills:

  • Ability to present and interact with all levels of client employees, from research associates to executive level

  • Once feasible, travel about 4 times a year within North America

  • Travel should be a requirement

Production Skills:

  • High proficiency with MS Excel and PowerPoint. SPSS or RStudio experience with large data sets preferred

  • High comfort level working with complex and large data sets

  • High attention to detail

  • Experience creating presentations in a storytelling format with complex data that is easy to understand and actionable.  Highly proficient at writing summary and recommendations for c-suite audience.

  • Analytical prowess including sig testing, correlations, and regressions

  • Familiarity with mTab preferred

Account Management:

  • Work in an organized and proactive manner so that client always knows what to expect and when.


  • Experience collaborating with others

  • Willingness to ask questions and initiate/contribute to dialogue

  • Ability to integrate various data streams to create impactful and actional stories

  • Ability to prioritize workload and client deliverables

  • Knowledge of Auto industry preferred, especially around marketing, advertising, and/or brand strategy

  • Knowledge and application of Purchase Funnel preferred

Ideally, you will bring the following:

7+ years of experience in the market research, automotive, or advertising industry or in a role responsible for client interactions, analyzing advertising data, and writing reports with strategic recommendations.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s degree preferred
