Job Description
GfK Media Measurement (MM) Hub is a centralized data processing and analytics department located in Sofia and part of the GfK Global Service Center (GSC). The main activities of the department include data production for classic and digital media measurement products in multiple global and local markets. The Hub provides services like data monitoring, data coding, data processing, query and analysis using various technologies and tools (e.g. Hadoop, AWS, SQL, Python, R, SPSS, Excel, etc.). Along with the end-to-end data production and monitoring, the Hub also supports the research and data analytics for various digital standard and ad-hoc products, as well as supports the GfK in-house software development and data automations.

Mission of the Role:
You have to be prepared to dig into our big data for providing insightful findings to our clients helping them solve their business challenges by using various tools for data extraction (SQL), data manipulation and analysis (Python, R, SPSS). In the role of Analysis Specialist, you would also provide analytic, charting and quality support to standardized and ad-hoc products while communicating with product, sales and analysis teams in a global organization.
As a Data Analyst, you will have the following key accountabilities:
Data analysis support to standardized and ad-hoc requests from internal and external clients
Design and run different SQL data query scripts on an online big data platform
Work offline with the extracted data with tools like SPSS, R and Excel
Interpret data and statistically analyze results, answer business questions
Support PowerPoint slides preparation for different standardized market research products
Support the quality assurance of different standardized market research products
Consult clients on the produced data or products
Assist in related user training and knowledge sharing documentation
Now that you know what Data Analyst does, what skills, qualifications and experience do you need?
Minimum of 1 year related work experience (e.g. data analysis, scripting, data quality, statistics)
Degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics or related fields
Demonstrated good knowledge in statistics, business analysis and data science
Excellent understanding and sound experience with SQL scripting
Knowledge in R, Python, SPSS or other software for data manipulation (considered as an advantage)
Strong analytics thinking and problem-solving skills
Fluency in English
