GfK's Burnett to present on consumer trust

On September 16th, Jola Burnett (Consumer Life) will be presenting recent GfK research in “Trust in the Age of Doubt: The State and Shape of Consumer Trust" at Groceryshop in Las Vegas.

Groceryshop is the leading event for grocery and consumer packaged goods (CPG) innovators, exploring disruptive trends, technologies and business models.

Burnett's work will show that -- in an age of click farms, food recalls, and data breaches -- consumer trust in manufacturers, retailers and brands cannot be taken for granted.

Drawing on GfK FutureBuy and Consumer Life studies, Burnett will assert that brands and retailers need to rewrite their strategies for gaining the confidence of their customers.  Protecting customer data, staying relevant, and respecting consumers' time are all essential to being both authentic and transparent.

Groceryshop started in 2018 to help businesses understand how to keep up in a rapidly changing shopper environment. This year, the event expects to host over 3000 attendees and 205 guest speakers.

Burnett is a VP of Consulting for Consumer Insights Regional. She helps leading industries understand consumers' changing attitudes, beliefs, and desires. With over ten years of experience working with GfK's global Roper Reports® studies, she specializes in research of Millennials, moms, and social media.
