Job Description

Purpose of the Role


  • Accountable for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements and managing staff
  • Supports Local Management in all Business-Finance related topics
  • Supports Local Management steering the company by using relevant KPI systems
  • Responsible for statutory Financial Statements and Tax Returns
  • Responsible for Budgets / Forecasts

Key Activities


  • Supports local and regional FD and VP Finance
  • Supervises and complements accounting team
  • Ensures, reviews and approves an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close
  • Prepares an annual budget, forecasts and provide variance analysis initiating corrective actions
  • Provides for liquidity management and planning
  • Handles internal and external audits
  • Partner the business leads with Costing and Pricing analysis
  • Develops and executes measures to improve performance
  • Implements and enforces policies and procedures
  • Interface and discuss extraordinary measures with local external consultants (capital injections, waivers of liabilities…)
  • Collaborates with other departments and provides recommendation to operational issues and guides by interpreting Group policies

Technical skills required


  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, local GAAP, tax requirements, internal controls and financial reporting
  • Knowledge in budgeting and forecasting
  • Knowledge in controlling/reporting
  • Very good skills in MS-Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of Navision is a plus
