A Technical Business Analyst is advanced in applying agile practices, processes and tools and a certified practitioner. He/She is also advanced in business process (re-)design experience and having advanced solution design skills, requirements engineering skills - especially with consideration of end-to-end system process flow. A Technical Business Analyst is excellent in analytical and problem-solving and demonstrates this by the ability to structure issues and analyze alternative solutions in close collaboration with Product Department and in context of Client or Data Platform.

As a Technical Business Analyst you will have the following key accountabilities:

  • Take over envisioned outcomes from Product and support design of solution strategy and a high-level design for achieving those

  • Verify and maintain solution roadmap (with PM, stakeholders and team), however not responsible for the delivery, make sure that roadmap is transparent to all involved team members. Support product management in creating and managing realistic roadmap

  • Working tightly together with System Architect to ensure an overall (at a capability based level) feasible, scalable, and lean architecture

  • Produce appropriate documentation to support your work, report on your findings and present to stakeholders as required

  • Build and maintain relationships with S and C-Level leadership teams from different business and technology groups

  • Follow and promote agile (Scrum/Kanban/Other) principles throughout the Software Development Lifecycle

  • Work effectively with internal and third party technology teams 

  • Leverage communication skills to help translate between technical and business stakeholders

  • Work across multiple applications at any given time, effectively managing you time to ensure timely delivery across all

  • Create and maintain a Ubiquitous Language documenta common language between Domain and Technical experts

  • Be a confident negotiator with the ability to articulate and demonstrate the value of alternative options

  • Have excellent experience with existing 'As-Is' and 'To-Be' Business Process identification and documentation

  • Have experience in Data (Modelling, Mining, Extract Transform Load, Migration processes)

  • Be adept at converting UAT feedback into backlog items

  • Have good Senior Stakeholder Management skills

  • Be able to acquire complex knowledge quickly

  • Be a competent translator between multi-functional teams

  • Demonstrate patience, sympathy and listening skills

  • Be expert at bridging gaps between sometimes fractured departmental relationships

  • Have an excellent understanding of the changing political landscape at any one time

  • Understand cultural differences within global organizations

  • Extensive structured experience defining requirements, supporting & educating others on best practices

  • Recognition that BDD scenarios compliment (not replace) Acceptance Criteria

  • Experience in requirement definition activities including: (Acceptance Criteria, Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs), Use Case diagrams ,User Journeys, Business Process Modelling using BPMN or Unified Modelling Language (UML), Architectural Principles, Business Architecture)

  • Highly experienced in database design

  • Experience in Behavioral Studies including Ethnographic & Observation techniques

  • You have ADVANCED understanding of the the solution domain assigned to you including: (Architecture & Technologies, Infrastructure, Engineering Tools (e.g. Datamodel Design Tools), Experience in database querying, Experience in database design (Eg Entity Relationship Diagram), Domain Data, User rights and access management, Security and privacy)
