End User Services (EUS) of GfK is responsible for managing and administrating the global corporate identity, email, workplace and collaboration services based on a hybrid model leveraging cloud (Office365, AZURE AD, JAMF PRO, Intune, Microsoft Teams etc.) and on-prem technologies (SCCM, Active Directory) to GfK’s global workforce.

As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer - EUS Workspace you will have the following key accountabilities:
Continue to maintain design of the SaaS and on-premise based technologies with emphasis on delivering new capabilities according to business requirements
Research, development, and deployment of EUS solutions within the Digital Workplace area, including delivering proof of concepts and technical documentation & processes
Administrate, troubleshoot and support the following technologies: Active Directory, SCCM, JAMF Pro and related Office 365 capabilities (Intune in a co-management model, Office Apps etc.)
Responsible for the design, creation and maintenance of the following SCCM activities: Task Sequence, Compliance Baselines, User and Computer Management, Application Management and Lifecycle, Software Updates
Responsibilities also include analysis of business requirements, configuration of 3rd party software implementation of SaaS/on-prem infrastructure solutions, creation of documentation, testing and maintenance of workplace applications and services, support and maintenance of existing infrastructure and information systems
Ensure security, governance, and compliance policies for the complete stack of EUS services are being followed
Participate in architecture reviews to ensure that solutions comply with standards, policies and corporate approved technologies
Perform system reviews of client requirements and prepare findings documents outlining short and long-term strategies
Facilitate and lead client configuration planning meetings and articulate pros & cons of design decision across a wide spectrum of factors - e.g. latency, storage, startup/shutdown
Routinely exercise independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and criteria for achieving personal and team objectives
Assist team through successful complex projects which includes estimating, scoping, and writing effective statements of work that clearly set expectations and limit risk.
Participate in cross-division, multi-functional teams to drive effective collaboration with colleagues and counterparts internally and externally
Establish reputation as subject matter expert in the EUS Digital Workplace area
Participate in cross-division, multi-functional teams and be an active contributor to the SAFe Agile practices within the global Infrastructure team
Now that you know what Senior Infrastructure Engineer - EUS Workspace does, what skills, qualifications and experience do you need?
University Degree in Information Technology or related subject area
Very good knowledge of System Center Configuration Manager Current Branch, Active Directory and Client Operating Systems (Windows 10, macOS, iOS, Android)
2-years’ experience with managing and administrating a global end-user endpoint estate relying on System Center Configuration Manager Current Branch (SCCM), Active Directory and Client Operating Systems such as Windows 10, macOS, iOS, Android
2-years’ experience with managing and administrating SaaS based services such as Microsoft Azure/Microsoft365 and underlying capabilities relevant to the Workplace area (Intune, Office Apps etc.)
2-years’ experience in managing and administrating an enterprise printing service based on Canon/Uniflow or similar technology
Very good knowledge of Software Application Packaging concepts
Good knowledge of Microsoft App-V Platform
Strong client OS knowledge – i.e. Windows 10; technical application experience with advanced knowledge of the Windows registry, file and folder security, local/domain user security, and operating system troubleshooting and macOS X.
Very good English language skills in both written and spoken
It would be a great addition if you have:
Good understanding of cloud-based enterprise management systems for macOS X such as JAMF Pro (former Casper) or other
Good knowledge of Micrisoft Desktop Optimization Platform - MBAM, UE-V, etc.
Good experience & knowledge in at least a few scripting and/or programming languages – PowerShell (strong advantage)
Hands-on experience and general understanding of McAfee or similar AV/ATP products, EPO configuration & orchestration and impact to end-user client systems
