Job Description
As an Infrastructure Engineer - Platform Services you will play a key role for a highly motivated Infrastructure team and focused on environment and application management. We run several hundred server systems, dozens of databases, various services and applications.
Mission of the role
Implementation of all necessary operative tasks to guarantee maintenance of operation. Support running applications, services and platforms to deliver promised service portfolio to our clients according to SLAs.
Ensure highest availability, best performance and stability at every point in time with 24/7 on-call-duty. We are a global team and work in close collaboration with our agile product teams, operations, supporting units and IT.
As an Infrastructure Engineer - Platform Services you will have the following key accountabilities:
Be a contact person for application operations and infrastructure queries
Provide self-reliant analysis and resolution of critical issues
Plan and implement infrastructure changes
Provide support for software deployments
Make improvement and optimization of infrastructure, system and application monitoring
Do Incident, Problem and Configuration Management
Now that you know what Infrastructure Engineer - Platform Services does, what skills, qualifications and experience do you need?
Solid know-how working with Windows server operating systems (Windows Server 2012 / 2016 / 2019)
Microsoft Active Directory and Domain management
Server virtualization with VMware
Knowledge in script languages e.g. PowerShell
Experience with system monitoring tools e.g. Icinga or Nagios
Incident- and Change management with e.g. ServiceNow
Support ticket handling with e.g. JIRA
Maintaining system and process documentation with e.g. Confluence
Experience with agile methodologies and Kanban
It would be a great addition if you have:
Know-how in Linux operating systems
Containerization with e.g. Kubernetes
Experience with automation technologies e.g. Ansible, Rundeck
Maintaining CI/CD pipeline with e.g. TFS, Git or Octopus Deploy
Experience with Cloud technologies e.g. AWS or GCP
Vulnerability management with e.g. Nexpose
Application Performance Monitoring with e.g. AppDynamics or NewRelic
Knowledge in relational databases e.g. Oracle
