Job Description

The Senior Consultant role is fundamentally responsible for ensuring the Tech360 product continues to hit exemplary quality standards.  This includes working directly with key clients to ensure their satisfaction through day to day management, analytics and broader presentations.

Tech360 is a key part of our syndicated solution offering in the UK.  It has grown rapidly over the past three years and continues to expand its reach and coverage.  The solution focuses on mobile, Pay TV and broadband for the Telco industry and is used by leading players as a key data source for understanding the market landscape and size, including the who's, what's, why's and how's of consumer decision making. Client interaction is at the heart of this role.  You will work in partnership with the Tech360 clients to truly understand their key business questions, design analysis that not only brings in Tech360 data but also utilizes other GfK solutions (e.g. Point Of Sales, Consumer Life, Consumer Confidence Barometer) to create compelling stories that help them to understand what to do next. If you’re a people person this would be ideal as the day-to-day role involves working closely with other departments across the business, from integrating data and presentations, to commercial on new business and renewals, to marketing sciences on data weighting and imputation and with Operations on managing the day-to-day running of the product. 

The telco market involves interactions of multiple products, devices, operators and manufacturers, and our questionnaire and dataset reflects this complexity. The successful candidate must have an eye for detail and be able to manage spinning plates across the survey lifecycle to ensure a robust process for data collection and data delivery, and they must be able to grasp the inner workings of the resulting data and translate this into actionable insights for clients.

Responsibilities:

Client management:

  • Manage multiple client personas, agendas and demands whilst upholding the integrity of the syndicated solution

  • Support team in prompt turnaround of KPIs and ongoing requests

  • Understand and support client strategy

Project management:

  • Work with PMs and wider team to ensure all key milestones are hit for questionnaire development, scripting, fieldwork, data processing, weighting, reporting and analysis

Experience / aptitude for highly complex survey and dataset:

  • Advise on quotas

  • Control and update questionnaire content

  • Check and sign-off questionnaire link alongside Project Managers

  • Multi-level / weighting dataset management

  • Understand existing variables and build new variables as required

  • Manage weighting process for up to ten weights per quarter

  • Adjust weighting process if/when MI reporting changes

Quality control

  • Ensure existing processes are followed

  • Implement new processes where required

Data, analysis, presentation:

  • Running requests

  • Storytelling presentations

  • Confident presenter to large audiences

Problem solving:

  • Proactive approach to pre-empt issues

  • Deal with problems that arise on projects effectively and efficiently

  • Work with commercial to communicate with clients

  • Solution orientated approach

Cross-business working:

  • Can work, collaborate and build relationships with Operations, Marketing Science, Point Of Sales and Commercial

Telco / industry:

  • Experience in or desire to develop deep understanding of telco landscape and client needs as addressed by the solution
