Job Description
To be an active part of the development life-cycle of the GfK enterprise products within the Data Platform domain. You will be a champion for Design Thinking, UX best practices, accessibility standards, consistency and the maintenance of the enterprise Design System.
You'll be working with the Product manager and Delivery lead to support and provide designs for the delivery team. Using design thinking methodologies, tools and processes you will be in control of user interviews and usability testing to create the best solution for the needs of the user.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to design solutions and propositions in response to our users’ needs
Work with subject matter experts, colleagues, internal and external partners to understand desirability, viability and feasibility of proposed solutions
Propose necessary changes on the existing applications to balance global usability standards and existing behaviours from our users
Support prioritisation exercises by providing evidence-based designs and propositions
Design, develop and lead internal innovation activities, including workshop facilitation, design sprints, discovery etc
To share and promote the work you and your team is doing
Support Design Manager to prioritise efforts to support cross-domain applications
Key activities:
Work with the development team to evaluate existing requirements
Create designs and implement features to improve quality and consistency
Communicate these findings and decisions to the rest of the team and stakeholders
Working with product managers to conduct exploratory user and stakeholder interviews, user acceptance testing and usability testing sessions to gather evidence and requirements for the user interface
Consume, support and contribute to the development of an Enterprise Design System to be used by the Data Platform
Articulate the reasons that brings you to a specific design solution and being capable to adapt those based on the limitations of the tool
Plan, facilitate and support internal or external workshops and sprints to support product and design teams with feature development, strategic planning or new proposition opportunities
Now that you know what a Senior Product Designer does, what skills, qualifications and experience do you need?
3+ years of experience
Experience working on Agile and Scrum product teams
Samples of user research and prototypes
Experience using Figma
Experience using and contributing to design systems will be considered as an advantage
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to clearly articulate concepts, ideas and requirements so they are understood by Technical & Non-Technical teams
Presentation and facilitation skills, able to present ideas/concepts to stakeholders with clarity and confidence and obtain high quality outputs from collaborative tasks
Strong persuasion and relationship building skills to influence others without authority and encourage collaboration between stakeholders
Capable of resolving challenges independently, escalating only when appropriate
A team player, able to work collaboratively with other members of the team and autonomously when required
Excellent self-organisation and ability to plan own work in line with the broader team plans and priorities
