Job Description
You are a passionate software engineer with a deep understanding of software engineering and its integral role in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). You are able to model real-world scenarios effortlessly, think in terms of design patterns, master object-oriented design principles, embrace functional programming concepts and enthusiastically pursue test-driven development.
You have written several applications from scratch, many of which are still in production to the delight of their users. You enjoy working in a team of like-minded people and are happy to receive feedback on others' code. Working within agile teams is second nature to you, where you excel at making incremental improvements through continuous delivery pipelines. What really sets you apart is your unwavering commitment to code quality, security, and resilience. Your code is a proof of your deep understanding of the execution environment, which consistently leads to the development of robust and reliable systems.
You will:
Collaborate effectively with various roles and teams beyond your immediate responsibilities.
Take ownership of features and guide them through the complete end-to-end delivery process.
Maintain a comprehensive understanding of current and future developments and associated risks.
Offer solutions to challenges across your functional areas.
Contribute to the creation of software known for its scalability, testability, maintainability, and exceptional quality.
Provide coaching and mentorship to fellow engineers.
Foster coordination and communication with different roles and teams, transcending your primary responsibilities.
You have:
5-7+ years of commercial software development experience
Experience in Full Stack development, predominantly in Java-based backend development with expertise in the Spring framework
Experience in modern frontend programming languages & frameworks (Typescript, Angular)
Experience building web-based enterprise software
Hands-on experience with SQL databases (MS SQL, Sybase, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or other relational databases) and familiarity with MongoDB is a plus
In-depth experience working with static code analysis and linting tools (e.g., SonarQube, SonarLint)
Comprehensive expertise in automated testing, including CI/CD pipelines
Excellent troubleshooting, debugging, problem-solving and analytical skills
Passion for collaborating with and mentoring junior members of the team
Good English skills (at least B1)
Effective communication and teamwork skills
