GfK Media Measurement (GXL) HUB is a centralized data processing and analytics department located in Sofia and part of the GfK Center of Excellence. The main activities of the department include data production for digital and classic media measurement products for multiple global and local markets. The HUB provides services like monitoring, coding, processing and data analytics using various proprietary and open source, mostly cloud-based technology platforms. Along with the end-to-end data production, the HUB also supports different Media Measurement on-demand products research and preparation.
Mission of the role
Support all aspects of the operational reporting with a focus on analyzing large data sets, identifying areas for improvement.
Actively participate in initiatives related to product automation and processes optimization
As a Senior Analysis Specialist you will have the following key accountabilities:
Create and automate analyses using statistical computer languages and tools (R, Python, SQL, SPSS etc.)
Implement advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, forecasting, properties of distributions, proper usage, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets
Mine and analyze different data to drive optimization and improvement in the existing processes; actively support product development/ update initiatives
Proactively communicate and collaborate with business stakeholders to deliver actionable insights and recommendations; Support local client-facing GfK teams in selling digital products
Assist in related teammates’ training, knowledge sharing and documentation initiatives
Now that you know what a Senior Analysis Specialist does, what skills, qualifications and experience do you need?
3+ years of relevant working experience in preferably in market research field
University (Bachelor's or Master's) degree in Math, Data Science, Statistics, Data Analytics and Modeling
Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience in R or Python
Experience in data manipulation with SPSS and SQL
Solid Statistical knowledge
Excellent analytical and forecasting ability
Advanced in MS Office
Fluent in English
Experience with Jira, Confluence or similar PM tools
Capable of prioritizing multiple projects while still achieving deadlines
Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development
