Job Description

Programme Delivery

  • Ensure good governance on all projects and programmes. 
  • Own the risk programme level register and provide risk management support across the department.
  • Enhancing Application best practices: actively leading and channelling continuous process improvements internally and via 3rd parties
  • Support the implementation of PMO standards, suggesting enhancements as part of continuous improvement

    Key Accountabilities

  • You will bring programme management expertise and discipline to a diverse portfolio of technical products and components, working with Agile product and development teams to deliver on the product roadmap, driving new products and features through the software development lifecycle.
  • You are responsible for ensuring that all critical conditions for a successful start and implementation of a given programme are met.
  • You are responsible for alignment of the various initiatives regarding (shared) programme goals, consistent initiative targets, key milestones and synchronization points, appropriate funding, steering, and reporting standards.
  • You will build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders working to support and deliver defined roadmaps
  • You are owning the programme backlog (high level, initiative-overarching epics).
  • You will define the operational model, set-up and run planning and steering meetings on programme level.
  • Make sure that initiative and programme status is always transparent, risks and issues are known and being managed, and escalations are triggered when needed. 
  • You will define key KPIs to track health, progress and spend of the programme and the related initiatives. You are always able to report those KPIs in steering meetings and senior management / ELT meetings as required.
  • Install measures, planning, and control mechanisms to ensure that the programme is running within budget. 


    The programme manager is a technical professional with a management background in software delivery. You will understand programme and project critical success factors and be adept at identifying risks to successful delivery.

  • At least five years project management experience supported by current relevant certification
  • At least two years programme management supported by current relevant certification
  • Demonstrable experience of Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • Possess either a higher qualification or greater levels of relevant experience
