Budget - even if budget is not within the primary objectives of the delivery lead the budget needs to be kept in view and shortages or possible changes need to be identified and communicated; for this, the delivery lead can rely on tight support and collaboration with PMO to have a continuous controlling on progress and budget
Tech and Architecture - together with the architects and system architecture the delivery lead is responsible to find a balance in upcoming plannings to consider needed technical and architectural improvements (enablers, tech debt reduction, architecture strategy of the various teams); this includes the consideration of quality and especially security engineering
People and teams - together with agile managers, scrum and kanban masters and release train engineers, the delivery leads observes the smoothness of the development process and mitigates shortages and liabilities together with POs and other hiring managers with a suitable sourcing strategy (strategic staffing)
Milestone and timeline - agreed on timelines and aimed for milestones are the core control mechanism of delivery leads to see that delivery is according to plan and expectation
