Job Description
In this demanding and fast-paced environment, we are looking for a Data Scientist who will work for a line of business we are very proud of: Market Insights. At Market Insights we help our clients from tech & durables industry to understand the dynamics of their marketplace. Up-to-date retail sales data reveal how products are performing in the market – ongoing. In order to get in time, in quality & relevant data we need you to make the difference proving our client reliable data to sustain their business decisions.
Joining the team that works with top players in the industry, you will help design research to solve real business problems. You will be responsible with making significant contributions to delivering relevant data to our clients.
We are looking for…

Responsible for analytics research on one or more products, with a wealth of attributions for both customer service and end-product quality assurance (verification, interpretation and reporting to clients).
As a Data Scientist you will have following key accountabilities:
You understand and apply the research methodology of retail audit;
You understand the products and markets being dealt with;
You prepare and ensure the quality of the data so that it is in line with the GfK methodology and the standards imposed by the department manager or other hierarchical superior.
You comprehend client briefing and the questions that constitute the purpose of the analysis
You are involved in feasibility testing and design of the project, together with the commercial team
You will perform data extraction, coding and processing of data to be analyzed
You will set up data groups / modeling according to the structure / objectives of the project
You will prepare the results and you will be accountant for quality control
You will produce reports, interpreting the results together with the commercial / consultant team
Now that we've introduced you to the position as Data Scientist Team, what skills, qualifications and experience should you have?
You have a university degree in either Economics, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
You have experience in a similar position, as an active data analyst professional
You are a data enthusiast with MS Office skills, especially advanced Excel user skills
You are proficient in English - B2 level
You have a keen attention to detail: some work will be complex in our analysis system and we must strive to avoid mistakes / check work is 100% right before delivery
You need to be able to liaise and discuss variations from multiple countries and be able to take on board and handle the differences to each piece of work, often at the same time
You have problem solving skills: why does data come out like it does, what needs to be changed to get the data as it wished for
