Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and standardize marketing science solutions in proofs-of-concept and prototypes

  • Improve the efficiency of the marketing science products (e.g. ensure quality by adherence to coding guidelines, documentation, and reproducibility)

  • Increase marketing science models using code optimization, high-performance computing, and real-time techniques

  • Build analytical pipelines at scale using cloud services, containerized applications, and distributed systems

  • Identify best practices and create continuous improvement of tools and methods in GfK Global Marketing Science

  • Participate in Communities of Practice; foster Marketing Science related knowledge exchange within GfK

  • When needed, serve as a necessary expert to assist regional marketing science teams in writing scalable code

  • Collaborate with the MCI Product Owners, Marketing Science Delivery Leads, Marketing Scientists, and Front End Software Engineers

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of relevant work experience

  • Solid knowledge of analytic programming languages (i.e. R and Python) and the respective Machine Learning / Statistical Modeling ecosystem

  • Solid knowledge of computer science fundamentals, software design principles and patterns, patterns and testing strategies

  • Experience with Dockerization and Kubernetes/docker-compose

  • Solid statistical skills of econometric techniques

Soft Skills

  • Mathematical thinking

  • Ensure all outputs are delivered and accurate

  • Be a good role model, help to build teamwork and team spirit

  • Good experience with Agile development practices

  • Ease of communication in an English-speaking business environment

Location: This job is located in Warsaw, Poland working within a Hybrid model. #LI-Hybrid
