Reporting to our Senior Head of Data Quality also based in Nuremberg, the Data Scientist plays a crucial role in remotely supporting our panel business in Denmark with a focus on our Consumer Voice (CV) solutions in the Nordics. The Data Scientist provides the data expertise for the CV business in the Nordics by creation and execution of complex statistical analyzes that are required for reporting purposes or for answering in-depth clients questions. The Data Scientist, designs and rolls out appropriate data science & machine learning models, ensures data is valid and mitigates reporting 'gaps' as well as continually strives for data quality through constant data improvement initiatives and the resulting education of CV colleagues.

You're good at:

  • Supporting research focused colleagues with data expertise and are capable of doing this remotely
  • Analysing panellist's behaviour in order to properly calibrate data (weighting, benchmarking, response weighting, penetration correction)
  • Investigate new possibilities for combining new data with legacy data
  • Identifying and mitigating data gaps
  • Creating and improving methods and tools, and contribute to best practices in the area of Data Sciences
  • Presenting Data Sciences expertise at conferences and workshops
  • Developing, implementing and standardizing Data Science solutions
  • Designing, developing and implementing data science and machine learning models via proof-of-concepts & prototypes (e.g. notebooks, webapplications)
  • Consulting internal clients on Data Science related issues
  • Fostering Data Science related knowledge exchange
  • Supporting in the development of talent and organization of required trainings

You can bring:

  • Solid knowledge of analytic programming languages (e.g., Python, R) and the respective tool ecosystem (R-Studio Server, Zeppelin, Jupyter)
  • Basic skills with regard to performance optimization and scalability (e.g., parallelization, code optimization, containerization, function as a service)
  • Solid skills with regard to database handling, in particular SQL, NoSQL
  • Expert statistical modeling skills (e.g, predictive models)
  • Solid knowledge of optimization and / or machine learning algorithms and / or deep learning algoritms
  • Basic understanding of Big Data Architectures
  • Basic knowledge of cloud computing environments and tooling (AWS, Azure)
  • Basic skills in open data sourcing
  • Basic skills in open source software sourcing (e.g., Apache, Anaconda, GitHub,…)
  • Ability to think creatively in addressing analytical objectives
  • Good English language skills (spoken & written)
  • PhD or Master degree that reflects strong modelling and statistics skills.
  • Typically 2+ years of work experience
