GfK Media Measurement (MM) Hub is a centralized operations and technology department located in Sofia. The MM Hub services include data management, data analytics, software development, and system support for a range of the GfK media-related products in multiple countries. The department consists of professionals with various job profiles working in data operations, data analytics and different technology scrum or support teams.
Mission of the role
The Media Measurement Data Quality Control Operator is part of the Media Measurement Hub “Currency Operations” team and works on GfK’s TV and Radio audience measurement (TAM/RAM) data production monitoring for multiple countries. He or she is responsible for the data quality support of the production systems and participates in the daily operations within the team, including the 24/7 on-call duty shifts coverage. MM Hub Data Quality Control Operator works also in close cooperation with the local country MM Operations teams and escalates data or system issues to the global technical and engineering teams.
As a Data Quality Control Operator you will have the following key accountabilities:
First level monitoring support for the media measurement data production, including work in 24/7 shifts
Daily monitoring of production procedures, e.g. correlation, matching, data processing stages, etc.
Daily data quality checks (e.g. ratings per channel), data query and reporting
Sound sampling servers (TV and Radio) operations and technical monitoring
Support the engineers with the platform servers technical monitoring
Act as the Hub first line contact for the local country MM teams
Develop expertize in the local stations situation and their broadcast behavior
Support ad-hoc reporting and extracting relevant data from the production database
Work closely with Hub and global technical support and engineering teams
Assume responsibility for documentation of data monitoring procedures and practices
Support optimizations of Hub monitoring and quality control processes
Support ad-hoc reporting and data extraction from the production databases
Now that you know what a Data Quality Control Operator does, what skills, qualifications and experience do you need?
Minimum of 1 year related work experience (technical monitoring, process monitoring, data management)
University degree or comparable education / experience
Good IT skills and general computer administration knowledge
Solid written and verbal communication skills in English
Affinity to and eager to gain more technical knowledge
Experience with data and process monitoring, data quality management
Advanced analytical skills and data details attitude
Sound knowledge in the field of web technologies
Understanding of data query tools (e.g. SQL, SPSS, R)
Ability to analyze technical issues and convey technical information effectively
