Mission of the role
Research, categorize and taxonomize mobile application and web content usage data
Maintain and develop the in-house taxonomies to ensure data integrity, accuracy and coherence
Provide taxonomy expertise to stakeholders and clients
As a Data Classification Specialist you will have the following key accountabilities:
Categorize and taxonomize mobile applications and websites usage data
Execute and monitor predefined procedures for data taxonomizing using various proprietary big data tools
Execute data categorization quality checks, and analyze relevant data metrics to ensure comprehensive and consistent taxonomy coverage
Contribute to the development of new taxonomy models aimed at meeting client-specific requirements and ensuring relevance to changes in the online media landscape
Contribute to the maintenance of the data and software assets used for categorizing and taxonomizing big data
Support the deployment and testing of new data taxonomizing tools and workflows
Carry out regular updates of the documentation of relevant processes, client deliveries and relevant business knowledge
Collaborate effectively with relevant stakeholders, including global teams in the product, operations and software development silos, data providers etc.
Now that you know what a Data Classification Specialist does, what skills, qualifications and experience do you need?
Prior experience with content categorization or taxonomy application
Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills
Experience in categorization of web sites and/or mobile application data will be considered an advantage
Experience in working with big data categorization tools will be considered an advantage
Inquisitiveness and desire to expand one’s multi-domain knowledge
Very good command of English language
Good command of a second foreign language (preferably German or Spanish) will be considered a strong advantage
