Job Description

As a Client Solutions Consultant you will work in partnership with some of our major communications clients to truly understand their key business questions, design analysis that not only brings in data from our Tech360 product but also utilizes other GfK solutions to create compelling stories that help them to understand both the market as it is now and what to do next.

Our Tech360 product is a key part of our solutions offering in the UK.  It has grown rapidly over the past few years and continues to expand its reach and coverage.  The solution focuses on mobile, Pay TV and broadband for the Telco industry and is used by leading players as a key data source for understanding the market landscape and size, including the who’s, what’s, whys and how’s of consumer decision making.

If you’re a people person this would be ideal as the day-to-day role involves working closely with other departments across the business, from Sales on integrating data and presentations, to marketing sciences on data weighting and imputation and with Operations on managing the day-to-day running of the product. 

However, being able to work with and draw out useful insights from highly complex data is an absolute must. The telco market involves interactions of multiple products, devices, operators and manufacturers, and our questionnaire and dataset reflects this complexity. The successful candidate must have an eye for detail and be able to grasp the inner workings of the resulting data and translate this into actionable insights for clients.

We’re looking for a real team player who can work with and support the rest of the GfK team in driving success for this growing area of the UK business.

Client management:

  • Build and manage relationships and ways of working
  • Manage multiple client personas, agendas and demands whilst upholding the integrity of the syndicated solution
  • Support team in prompt turnaround of KPIs and ongoing requests
  • Understand and support client strategy

Data, analysis, presentation:

  • Oversee deliverable management for key clients
  • Running requests
  • Storytelling presentations
  • Delivering parts of presentations with a goal to be become lead presenter

Problem solving:

  • Proactive approach to pre-empt issues
  • Deal with problems that arise effectively and efficiently
  • Work with commercial to communicate with clients
  • ‘Think outside the box’ when formulating solutions
  • Solution orientated approach
  • No ‘blame culture’ – one team approach

Cross-business working:

  • Can work, collaborate and build relationships with teams across the business

Telco / industry:

  • Experience in or desire to develop deep understanding of telco landscape and client needs as addressed by the solution
