With clients at the centre of all GfK does, the Client Sales Manager is the link between GfK and our customers. The Client Sales Manager ensures that the clients are informed, happy and all relevant stakeholders are using our solutions in the best manner possible. With regular planned client reviews, the Client Sales Manager, will increase the renewal rate of contracts by eliminating issues, identifying new opportunities and broadening GfK’s reach within clients throughout the term of the contract. Reporting to our Head of Inside Sales UK, the Client Sales Manager owns the assigned client relationship – encompassing prospecting, negotiation, ensuring effective and timely delivery through product colleagues and renegotiation of contracts. As a result, the successful candidate needs an impressive array of skills & abilities to ensure that a Client-centric relationship is established whilst protecting GfK’s interests.
The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, wide market knowledge and a deep understanding of how to use market research within businesses. They will strive to understand clients businesses and the challenges they face. They will be able to drive engagement through multi-level client contact access and through the matching of our insight with the client’s needs.
Contribute to the Sales Team activity with, but not exclusive to;
Lead the process of successful contract renewals, enlisting the sales and insight teams where and when required.
Assist the management of the existing GfK clients within the allocated sales area using Key Account Plans and ensuring all team members follow this approach.
Identify and engage with all relevant client contacts to support business growth, utilising industry knowledge.
Develop and maintain senior level touchpoints across allocated client base with the approval and understanding of any relevant Sales Manager at all times.
Drive engagement across the broad range of GfK solutions.
Work cross functionally within GfK to ensure client needs are met and questions answered.
Ensure leads and opportunities are identified and passed to the sales team in order to maximise all client revenue opportunities.
Ensure GfK are working with the client to maintain data quality, timely deliverables and fit for purpose use; meeting client needs
Help deliver the revenue target for your areas, working in conjunction with the sales team; specifically around revenue retention.
Maintain correct contractual position with all clients in your area.
Support and deliver Company strategy.
Ensure the CRM and all GfK systems are constantly updated and maintained.
Track contract renewals in allocated area and ensure timely sales retention activity takes place.
Identify clients that have GfK solution issues and overcome wherever possible in conjunction with the Head of Sales.
