Job Description

We are currently seeking a Business Development Lead who will be a part of the Turkey Sales Team. Business Development Lead is a role, combining aspects of sales and marketing, as well as market research responsibilities. This includes developing of new panels, new products, new syndicated projects and identifying opportunities for growth with new businesses.

The responsibilities of the position involve communicating with client and understand client needs and make all the necessary prework with clients and with internal parties to develop new business for GfK Turkey.


Candidates will have exemplary client relationship skills, as well as selling, business development and team management abilities.

As a Business Development Lead you will have the following key accountabilities: 

  • Understanding client and industry needs and develop new projects for existing clients and potential clients
  • Building new panels or projects in new industries  
  • Developing new syndicated projects and reports
  • Explore opportunities how we appeal our products in adjacent categories and maximize our secured asset

Now that we've introduced you to the position as Business Development Lead, what skills, qualifications and experience should you have?

  • Bachelor´s/ Master´s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 3-6 years of experience in Market Research or Marketing / Sales Departments (Technology (CE, MDA, SDA) and/or Retail Sectors)
  • Good at reporting and presentation skills
  • Having analytical and proactive problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills
  • Client-oriented and flexible
  • Having a positive approach, organized and well-disciplined to manage the workload with a reporting system
  • Advanced level of knowledge in usage of MS Office programs
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
  • Living in Istanbul
