Job Description
Role – Agile Coach
Location – A global role with candidate based within Romania, Bulgaria or India (office & home working)
Line management: Reports to Head of Portfolio & Global Partnerships, MCI
Responsibilities:
The successful applicant will act as Agile Coach/Scrum Master for a number of products & applications within the MCI Technical portfolio as well as work with the MCI Agile Coach team to refine & develop processes for maturing MCI Agile practice (based on the SAFe framework).
Key tasks:
Guiding the team on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to best serve our users & customers
Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency.
Facilitating daily stand-up meetings and other scrum events (Sprint planning, review & retro, PI Planning)
Ensuring that the scrum team are working effectively and maintaining an even burn-down (task completion) velocity
Assisting the Product Owner with arranging and prioritising the product backlog in JIRA
Removing impediments to the scrum team’s progress
Maintaining effective relationships between the Product Owner, external stakeholders & Scrum team
Regular alignment with other Scrum Masters and Agile Coaches to manage dependencies and harmonize program-wide development
Contributing to the wider organisational Agile community
We’re looking for a profile encompassing:
Great people skills and a proven ability for problem-solving
Project Management or Certified Scrum master experience
Fluency in English and strong communication skills
An ability to work virtually with distributed teams
Experience in using JIRA and Miro boards would be a plus (though we’ll also be able to provide specific training where needed)
We’re keen to encourage applications from people that have proven project management experience but who may not have a great deal of practical Agile experience. As such, you’ll be supported by an experienced and enthusiastic team as well as being provided with SAFe Scrum Master training (leading to certification). You’ll also be provided with training for relevant tools such as JIRA and Miro.
