Job Description

We are currently seeking a Part Time Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) who will be a part of South Africa Human Resources team.  The HRBP will partner with internal clients to build and execute HR strategies that enable the business’ growth plans.

This is a true business partner role providing an opportunity to be both hands-on and strategic, providing human resources expertise in the areas of coaching/development, organizational design, succession planning, talent assessment and development, compensation, employee relations, and much more. You will be embedded with the business and will work closely with its leadership team on organizational and people related issues. You will be instrumental in initiating and driving HR programs/initiatives within the organization.

The successful candidate will display a depth of understanding of and passion for partnering strategically with their business leaders. We are looking for Human Resources professionals who can diagnose problems, identify appropriate solutions, influence the business leaders with data-driven recommendations, and drive change.

As HRBP you will have following key accountabilities: 

  • You develop and support HR strategies that support the business objectives
  • You partner with the international HRBPs on executing on these strategies, including areas such as organizational change, onboarding, performance coaching, training and development, employee relations, and retention.
  • You partner with your clients to build and execute HR strategies that enable the business’ growth plans
  • You are a champion of GfK’s culture and values, partnering with your clients to help them build and retain customer and sales - oriented teams.
  • You influence business leaders at all levels while assisting them and the organization become more effective
  • You coach your clients on leading their teams, developing innovative solutions and programs to deliver results for our business or navigating and resolving employee relations issue
  • You maintain knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of associates, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • You provide day-to-day performance management guidance to managers (coaching, counseling, career development, separations)
  • You take a hands-on approach with leaders to help drive business results, improve working relationships, strengthen morale, and increase productivity and associate engagement
  • You serve as a trusted advisor to leadership, influencing business decisions and results

    Now that we've introduced you to the position as HRBP, what skills, qualifications and experience should you have?

  • You have min bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field or MBA
  • You have minimum 10 years work experience in HRBP and or HR consultant roles
  • You have strong communication skills
  • You have depth of understanding of and passion for partnering strategically with business leaders
  • You can diagnose problems, identify appropriate solutions, influence the business leaders with data-driven recommendations, and drive change

You have a natural ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships
