GfK Consumer Climate MAXX

When will the years of consumer reticence give way to optimism and consumer demand finally return? Along with other business-relevant issues, this question forms the core of the GfK Consumer Climate MAXX survey. In addition to explaining the background reasons to consumer sentiment in your country, the survey also provides much more information than you can find elsewhere in the media:

Every three months, forecasts are issued relating to private consumption and the retail industry based on comprehensive analysis and interpretations of consumer sentiment. The report on the propensity to buy of consumers in 20 different sectors in consumer goods and durables industries and services sector provides a differentiated breakdown of the general trend. This is complemented by information on trends in attitudes and an overview of the economic indicators important to the domestic economy. These quarterly reports are supplemented by monthly updates of the key indicators such as consumption and savings sentiment, expectations regarding inflation, the economy and income as well as the propensity to buy and to save. We provide a 27-page quarterly report in two hard copies plus an electronic version as a PDF. A monthly updated chart report is also available online.

In addition, together with our Euroclimate survey, we provide sound data in five key countries (France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK ) and other countries (Austria, Belgium, Denmark, the Netherlands and Sweden). This includes information on expectations regarding inflation, income and the economy as well as the propensity to buy and to save. All this information is provided as an online, readily comprehensible, chart report.
