Qualified employee for market and social research

In our apprentice program for qualified employees for market and social research, you will be immersed in the world of market research and gain an exciting insight into issues relating to international brand manufacturers. You will not only be supporting our consultants but also working on real market research projects – right from the first year of training.
As a qualified employee in market and social research you will work on projects from beginning to end. You will research, obtain and evaluate data. Cooperation on concept design and structuring of surveys and interview guidelines also form part of your remit along with organizing the deployment of interviewers. You will also check and monitor data and help to process the information to compile final reports, commentaries on findings and presentations.

The opportunities for you as an apprentice in market and social research are as varied as the opportunities offered by market research itself. If you are interested in planning and organizing projects, are highly numerate and have an analytical approach with good oral and written communication skills, then this is a challenging job that offers you a secure future is the right choice for you.

Business employee in office communications

Offices used to consist of a telephone, plenty of files and piles of paper. Today the demands of the office environment are much greater. Office communications in the GfK Group offer varied and challenging opportunities for cosmopolitan individuals with a global outlook. GfK conducts market research for nearly all the major brand manufacturers in the world, so our offices have a truly international feel.
As an apprentice business employee in office communications, you will be working in a specialist field with responsibility for a wide range of tasks. You will be working with modern communications, coordinating deadlines, managing statistics, updating databases and preparing presentations as well as organizing business trips and events. In addition, you will be working with a large number of interesting people.

You need to be a talented organizer with an interest in market research and should also have a careful and concentrated approach along with good oral and written communication skills – preferably in English as this is now the international language of market research.

Are you fascinated by computers? Do you feel at home in the world of information technology? If so, our two IT apprentice courses are ideally suited to you. Qualifications in these key technologies will open many doors for you in future in the GfK Group:

IT specialist

Do you enjoy sorting out problems on computers? Do you like the challenge of complex issues? Do you find it fun working on the computer and dealing with other tricky tasks at the same time? Then you should train as an IT specialist. This job gives you scope to enjoy computers to the full and use the latest technologies whilst still interacting with lots of other people.
As an IT specialist in applications development, you will produce special software solutions to meet the needs of our customers, implement these solutions and train and advise the users.
As an IT specialist in system integration, you will plan, install and maintain the varied networks, PCs and workstations of the GfK Group.

IT officer

The GfK Group processes millions of pieces of information every day. This requires functioning computer systems and people who ensure the dataflow. As an IT officer, you explain the complex world of IT and render it comprehensible to the people who use the computer systems. You understand both of these worlds and know which software is right for which problem.
This job is perfect for people who like computers, find it easy to understand abstract problems and have both a business and financial approach. You should also be able to make complex computer issues comprehensible in layman’s terms.
