Buenos Aires, 26 February 2010 – After the crisis suffered throughout the year, the Argentine technical consumer goods market recovered and grew a 10% in the fourth quarter compared to the same period in previous year.
The strongest growth came from IT with 96%, followed mainly by Major Domestic Appliances and Consumer Electronics at around 30%. Only two sectors kept on dropping are Telecom and Small Domestic Appliances, registering 9% and 33% respectively. The overall electrical goods market monitored by GfK TEMAX came up to AR$ 6,38 billion in the fourth quarter, which represents an increase in sales of 10.6% for the same period in the previous year.
