Kyiv, 12 February 2010 – The technical consumer goods market showed positive dynamics for the second period in a row and reached the highest amount for 2009. However, in comparison with previous periods it is still discouraging and the fourth quarter was definitely worse than expected.

 

Sales decreased in all market segments with IT sector development certainly exhibiting an above average performance. Again, the sector with the largest sales drop was telecommunication, which also showed the worst annual dynamics as well. Several product groups demonstrated positive growth rates, the most remarkable among them being laptops and smartphones. The last quarter of 2009 showed normal market seasonality and deceleration of sales erosion.
