Overall the market for technical consumer goods in the fourth quarter of 2009 recorded 2.21 trillion yen, an increase of 9.0% from the same period of 2008. The Eco Point Program continued to boost the sales of LCD TV's and Refrigerators, with the CE and MDA markets increasing by 17.6% and 9.1% respectively.
On the other hand, the Photography market decreased by 14.2% due to the price reduction in DSC. Although the IT market decreased by 14.1%, it starts showing a price increase in the consumer channel after the launch of Windows 7.
