Financial year 2006 has been a very successful one for the GfK Group. Sales rose by 18.7% from EUR 937.3 million to EUR 1,112.2 million.
With organic growth of 5.4%, GfK outperformed the growth rate for the industry, which experts estimated at between 4 and 5% and the GfK Group was also able to further expand its market position.
Adjusted operating income improved by 20.3% to EUR 150.5 million, which corresponds to a margin of 13.5% following the previous year’s figure of 12.6% (on a like-for-like comparative basis, i.e. extrapolated over a full year’s consolidation of NOP World companies).
The GfK Group achieved its sales target for financial year 2006 in full, with a margin which was towards the upper end of the target range of 13.3 – 13.6%.
