Perception of virtual interactions with people and places

Internationally, just under a quarter (23 percent) of online consumers agree that virtual interactions with people and places can be as good as being there in person. Only 15 percent disagree.

  • Agreement peaks amongst internet users aged 20-29 and 30-39 years old
  • Brazil and Turkey have highest levels agreeing
  • Germany and Sweden have highest levels disagreeing

Countries included are Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, Poland, Russia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, UK and USA.
