A quarter of people entertain guests in their home either daily or weekly, and a further third entertain monthly, according to an online survey across 17 countries conducted by global researchers, GfK. Less than one in ten say that they never entertain guests in their home.
A 22-country GfK survey show that just under a quarter (23 percent) of online consumers agree1 that virtual interactions with people and places can be as good as being there in person. This compares to just 15 percent who disagree1.
The university city of Heidelberg has Germany's highest share of households whose main earners are 30 years old or younger. But in Japan, only one in five think smart home tech will impact them, while mobile payment wins notably higher votes. In South Korea opinion is divided at around half.

Sales increase by 1.1 percent in organic terms
Sales rise by 6.3 percent compared with the previous year to approximately €1,544 million
Adjusted operating income increases by €9 million to approximately €188 million

The record quarterly sales performance in Q3 2015 can be attributed to three markets: China, which returned to growth, the MEA and emerging APAC. In total, 324m smartphone units were sold. The US$294 average selling price (ASP) of smartphones was down 2 percent year-on-year.
